The Big Pedal

15th Apr 2021

The Big Pedal returns next week, encouraging all children to travel actively to school.

The nationwide challenge will take place over 10 days between Monday 19th April to Friday 30th April, 2021 and is a great opportunity for your child to increase their activity levels.

The aim of the challenge is to cycle, scoot or walk to and from school every day over the duration of the challenge. The children must all wear a helmet and walk their bike or scooter from the school gate in the morning and out again in the evenings.

In previous years we have finished as high as 5th in Northern Ireland and 14th in the UK and we would love our children to be part of another successful year of active travel.

Travelling actively has numerous benefits including improving physical and mental health, reducing pollution and developing friendships.

Parents are welcome to cycle or walk alongside their children. So are you up for the challenge?
