Sustrans Gold Award

We were delighted to have Beth Harding and Johnny McCrystal in school recently to award St Patrick's with the prestigious Sustrans Gold Award for active travel. The school is only one of seveteen schools in the whole of Northern Ireland to receive the Gold Award and was one of the first seven schools to receive the honour.

St Patrick's has a strong tradition of promoting active travel and we are looking forward to a number of initiatives this year to get our children walking, cycling and scooting to school. Active travel helps to reduce pollution and congestion around our school, as well as improving health and fitness, and developing friendships.
