St Vincent De Paul Charity

18th Dec 2020

Thank you so much to all our children and parents for donating so generously to our Charity raffle. The local representatives for St. Vincent de Paul in Glenariffe - Don Black, Marie McDonnell & Ann Cushnahan - came into the school yesterday to receive the cheque - they were absolutely delighted that we had managed to raise £536.00 for Glenariffe S.V.P. This is the largest amount that they have received and they wanted us to let you all know that this very welcome donation will go towards helping to make Christmas more enjoyable for families in the area who are finding life difficult, especially this year. We would ask you to contact either SVP representatives or, if you prefer, you can contact the school and speak to the principal in confidence if you know of a family who may need support this year. We can pass on their details to SVP or other organisations who can help out.

We had a fantastic array of prizes for our charity raffle. The draw was held amid great excitement during three separate assemblies yesterday. We also celebrated the birthdays of Finbarr, Fionnuala and Matthew and sang Happy Birthday - which caused great amusement to Matthew especially!

The winners of the Charity Raffle Draw were P1 Caoileann McToal and Daniel McKillop, P2 Clodagh Healy and Tadgh Marrs, P3 Shannon McNaughton and Eoghan McIntyre, P4 Niall McAuley and Saoirse McMullan, P5 Ava Gettens and Conor Haughey, P6 Ciaran Kerr and Sadhbh Marrs, P7 Dara Ward and Saoirse Ward. Many thanks to all the staff for donating the prizes.
