Today, our Primary 7 children had the exciting opportunity to attend a Taster Day at St Killian’s College, giving them a glimpse into life at secondary school and a chance to explore a range of engaging subjects.
The day was packed with hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and creativity. In Art, the pupils got into the Halloween spirit by crafting spooky pumpkins and haunted houses, showcasing their imagination and flair. Over in Science, they became young detectives, using chemical reactions to solve a mystery and uncover who had poisoned a character—an exciting introduction to forensic science!
In Technology, the children put their practical skills to the test by designing and constructing their own pencil holders, while Home Economics offered a sweet treat as they made and decorated delicious buns.
The Taster Day was a fantastic experience for our pupils, helping them feel more confident and excited about the transition to secondary school. A big thank you to the staff at St Killian’s College for their warm welcome and for organising such a memorable day.
