We finally had our Sports Day on Thursday 7th June. It turned out to be a beautiful, warm, sunny day and the children had a great time at the various races and activities. When the Sports were all over, the children had a lovely surprise at lunchtime with chips, sausages and nuggets served in cones and a drink. After that, they were treated to an ice-cream cone, sponsored by Alex and Margaret McMullan, Maud's Ice-Cream, Ballycastle. The children all agreed that it was: "The best day ever."
Many thanks to Joanne, Paula, Roisin and Carole for organising the teas and coffees for the parents at breaktime. It was lovely to see so many parents out enjoying the sunshine and having a chance to relax and watch the fun. Again, we were very fortunate to have our coffee cups sponsored by McKillop's Eurospar, Cushendall.
To finish off our Sports theme, Niall from Fundamentals came in on Friday morning and organised a whole school team sports circuit which was a great success.
