Sounds~Write Parent Information Evening

Thank you to all the parents and staff who joined us for our Sounds~Write Information Evening. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and explore how this evidence‑based phonics approach helps children become confident, accurate and independent readers.

The session gave those in attendance insight into how Sounds~Write supports children to become confident, accurate and independent readers and writers. We were delighted with the positive engagement, thoughtful questions, and the genuine interest in how best to support learning at home.

A special word of thanks goes to Louise McMullan, who delivered the workshop with expertise and enthusiasm. Louise’s passion for teaching reading and spelling shone through the entire session. Her clear explanations, practical demonstrations and genuine commitment to supporting every child’s literacy journey were deeply appreciated by everyone in attendance.

At St Patrick’s, we believe every child flourishes through engaging teaching, and evenings like this strengthen the partnership between home and school—ensuring children feel supported, encouraged and proud of their progress.
