This week saw the start of our shared partnership with Bushvalley Primary school. The Primary One and Two children travelled to Bushvalley to take part in lots of outdoor fun and meet new friends. They explored lots of fun outdoor play equipment, made bird feeders and created chalk art. It was a chilly day but the children had plenty of physical activities to keep them warm. The Primary Three and Four children welcomed the children from Bushvalley to our school. They focused on emotions, listening to different stories about emotions, drawing and everyone got a worry doll home with them. Our P5 and P6 children enjoyed their Shared Education visit to Bushvalley PS, where they received a warm welcome and had a lovely time. They enjoyed playing outside together at break and lunch, building friendships in a relaxed and happy atmosphere, although a little cold and wet they didn't mind. The session focused on ICT, with pupils using Google Slides on Chromebooks to create slideshows all about their schools. There were some great descriptions, and the children worked extremely well together in their small groups, showing excellent teamwork and cooperation. They are looking forward to their next visit to complete and exhibit their presentations.
