Safer Internet Day - 7th February 2023

31st Jan 2023

On the 7th February, we will be celebrating Safer Internet Day 2023. The theme this year is "Want to talk about it? Making space for conversation about life online." In class, your children will be exploring this theme through videos, stories, powerpoints, conversations and games. To support you at home, there is a link attached which will bring you to a site containing loads of information to support your child and yourselves at home.

We would encourage you to 'talk about it" with your child/ren and remind them of the importance of coming to you if something happens online or they come across something which makes them iuncomfortable or sad. This is also a good time to remind everyone of the Safer Schools NI App available to all parents. This is full of up to date information and guidance on current issues around Internet Safety. It also contains articles and tips about image sharing, personal information, harmful content, health and well being, gaming, scams and social media. Remember the key message this year is to "Talk about it." https://saferschoolsni.co.uk/
