Primary 6&7 Anti-Bullying Week Assembly
This week, our Primary 6&7 pupils led a powerful and inspiring assembly as part of Anti-Bullying Week, reminding us all that every person has the ability to make a positive difference.
The theme of the assembly was “Power for Good”. Through thoughtful words and actions, the children shared an important message:
- We all have power – the power of our voice, our choices, and our kindness.
- We can use that power to make our school a safe, happy place for everyone.
The assembly explored what bullying behaviours look like and how they can make others feel. Our pupils highlighted three key ways to respond:
- If you experience bullying – tell a trusted adult right away.
- If you hurt someone – choose to stop, apologise, and build others up.
- If you see bullying – speak up and take action. Being a bystander who does nothing allows bullying to continue.
Children then shared their “I Choose…” commitments, pledging to:
- Include others
- Offer support
- Speak up against unkind words
- Tell an adult when someone is in danger
- Unite as a community
The assembly ended with a heartfelt performance of “Lean on Me”, reminding us that none of us have to carry our burdens alone. Together, we can lean on each other and create a school where every child matters, feels safe, and supported.
Thank you to all our Primary 6&7 pupils for leading this important conversation and showing how we can all use our Power for Good every day.
