Our school pledges to promote the Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing within our school environment. Our commitment to Take 5 will be visible to all staff and pupils with participation encouraged through a supportive environment.
It has been fantastic seeing the sunshine returning this week and the children certainly enjoyed making the most of it with their friends. Our new movable trim trail and caterpillar provided a great focus for developing balance and coordination. The mud kitchen was used to make lots of wonderful ‘porridge mixtures.’ Fantastic teamwork and designing skills were used to create chairs for ‘The Three Bears’ and lots of problem solving took place in the water area to create a functional trail of water to move fish into the lake (aka our water tray). Some of the boys decided to create their own “The Floor is Lava” game using our wooden blocks and Mrs McDaid joined us to revive some of our beautiful pots with Spring flowers. As always the Trikes and Bikes provided great physical play and fun.
