Our netball team represented the school in the Ballymena District Schools’ Netball Tournament last Friday in Seven Towers Leisure Centre. The girls won all their matches but were unfortunately beaten 13 goals to 6 in the final to St. Mary’s, Portglenone.
St. Patrick's also found themselves in the league final as they had consistently won all their matches in the league. The final was also against St. Mary’s, Portglenone and was played almost immediately after the tournament. This time, in a fiercely contested match, St. Patrick’s won by 12 goals to 7. Congratulations to all the girls who played amazingly and showed great sportsmanship throughout. Congratulations also to all the netball afterschool club. We are, as ever, endebted to Mrs McCurry for all her time and hard work in preparing the girls for their matches.
