The children in Primary 3 to Primary 7 had great fun this afternoon making St. Brigid's crosses in the assembly hall with our team of ladies who come in every year to work with the children and share their skills. It is such a lovely tradition to pass on to our children and lovely to see the older children in the school helping and guiding the younger ones - and the teachers too! Many thanks to Mrs Harvey, Mrs Carey, Mrs McCurry, Mrs Jamison, Mrs K and Mrs B Wheeler and Mrs Darragh for giving up their afternoon to join us.
The crosses will be brought up to the chapel to be blessed on St. Brigid's Feast Day, Saturday 1st February and the children will then bring them home to their families.
