Laughter Yoga

10th Jan 2019

On Thursday the whole school enjoyed some Laughter Yoga sessions with Michelle from the Sunshine project, through funding secured by our PTFA.

We asked the children to comment on how they felt about these sessions, P1 & 2 thought it made them feel "Good, Happy, Relaxful!!" and said that their favourite parts included "The fizzy bit - I liked the way you had to shake around." out of 18 children, 10 found the relaxing bit was the best part!

In P3 & P4, they said, "Laughter Yoga was fun because we did lots of laughing," and "We would like to do it again because it's healthy and it releases happiness from your brain."

Key Stage 2 loved when they all got in a circle and started laughing at each other. They said, "I liked when we had to make the milkshake and as we did it we made silly sounds and did shaking actions." They also loved shaking hands with someone and laughing and using their fingers to do the tiny laugh.

All in all, it was the perfect activity to celebrate our first week back to school. Many thanks to Michelle and especially to the PTFA for sourcing the Sunshine Project and the funding to allow us to participate.
