Fun times in P1 and P2 on the last day before half-term

16th Oct 2020

Primary One and Two have had a really fun filled treat day to finish their first half term. We had some lovely treats as we watched our movie and still have lots to take home for our Trick or Treating. We then decided we needed some fresh air and decided to go to the beach for a walk. The beach was beautiful today and we are so lucky to have this facility to enjoy on our doorstep. The children were so impressed and inspired by our local artist's sand sculptures that they decided they wanted to build their own. There was some great team work building, digging and designing. They had some quiet time after to recharge and just listen to the sounds around them, feel the sand running through their fingers and the sea breeze on their faces. After that they demonstrated their throwing skills in and a competition, though one child almost lost her scarf to the sea in the process! There was time to count the ducks, make patterns in the sand, chase their friends and we even managed some 'posed' class photos.
