This week we welcomed the Primary One children from Bushvalley to our school for some den building. Everyone brought a stuffed toy to create homes for and a wide variety of resources were used to inspire their creativity. These included tarpaulin, bamboo rods, blankets, cushions, large Lego style bricks and wooden blocks. Lots of great teamwork was evident throughout this activity and the children really enjoyed the challenge. We also had lots of other outdoor play activities including sand and water play, obstacle course building, snakes and ladders, mud kitchen, trikes and bikes and free play on our pirate ship. The children all really enjoyed their day, helped greatly by the beautiful sunshine. We are looking forward to welcoming the children back to our school in a couple of weeks for our next adventure together.
