Busy week for Primary One and Two

1st May 2020

Primary One and Two have been so busy this week with their Mathletics work and I am delighted with all the amazing progress in both classes. In Primary One Aodhan, Ronan, Clodagh and Tadhg all achieved a bronze award. We also had 5 bronze awards in Primary Two from Caoimhe, Oisin, Isla, Sophie and Shannon. Extra congratulations for both Shannon and Isla who achieved their first award. Keep up the hard work everyone.

Thank-you Oisin for sending me such a variety of photographs to illustrate how you completed our Eco Schools focus. You made great use of recycling materials for both your birdhouse and insects to thank all our key workers. I learnt lots of interesting facts about spiders from your ICT work and your healthy dinner looked delicious.

Caoimhe, you made a beautiful collage of flying things. Thank-you for sharing it with me.

I have included an extra project in our home learning pack this week. Over the next couple of weeks, I would like you all to create a time capsule to keep a record of you and your family in this historic moment of time in lockdown.  Take your time to make it really special and remember to share your ideas to help inspire everyone else. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with.

Have a lovely week ahead. Work hard, have fun and keep safe.
