Our school pledges to promote the Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing within our school environment. Our commitment to Take 5 will be visible to all staff and pupils with participation encouraged through a supportive environment.
Primary One and Two had a lovely surprise today when Maura McAllister brought some baby chicks into our class. The children loved finding out all about them, from the different coloured eggs, different breeds and how the boy and girl chick could be identified by the colours on their head. They were reminded that this was only for that particular breed, but it led to a lovely follow up when they got to name the two chicks. After lots of discussion and a fair draw taking place, the final decision was Belle for the girl and Pecky for the boy. Thank you to Maura for giving up her time to share this wonderful experience with the children.
