✈️Aeroplanes and Weather Friday Fun!🌦️ 🌈
P4 and P5 had a very busy Friday filled with fun and creativity! As part of their instructional writing genre, Miss Phelan modelled how to write clear instructions for making a paper aeroplane. The boys and girls recalled the key features of instructional writing and discussed why instructions are so important. They then carefully followed the instructions to make and decorate their own paper planes — and of course, they had to test them out afterwards! Although it was too blustery to fly them outside, everyone enjoyed trying them out in the hall instead. The children also completed activities to identify the parts of a real aeroplane.
Later, topic work continued with our weather theme. The boys and girls painted weather symbols onto stones collected from the beach and used Adobe Express on the computers to create wonderful weather symbol images.
